- We organize your documents and data using DETAILS™, the documentation engine within ProCoder. We give you access to this system, so that your documentation is available to you electronically for at least two years after we receive it. Additional years of documentation storage are available. - ProCoder allocates the cases to teams of specialized coders who use your provided documentation and ProCoder’s tools to code the case.
- ProCoder’s CARE™ Engine then checks the case against millions of rules and edits.
- Aviacode’s quality assurance analysts audit random cases to make sure that we didn’t make a false assumption or miss an edit.
- Finally, we securely transfer coding results back to you. If you prefer, we can interface directly with your billing system.

Aviacode receives medical records and patient information from both paper-based and electronic-based records.
Step 2: Web-based Coding Application
Documentation is HIPAA securely transmitted and stored in a data security compliant web-based application, ProCoder™. Documents are automatically assigned to dedicated customer based coding teams according to experience and credentials to handle the specialty-specific coding need.
